NOVELTY – The system includes inclination sensors that determine correct inclination of a harvester with respect to the ground. A dedicated computer program is used to manage the data obtained from the load cells and weight sensors installed on the harvester and to determine amount of harvested sugar canes on the harvester. An electronic control unit receives signals from the weight sensors and inclination sensors to determine the weight of harvested sugar canes, speed of the transport mats for the sugar canes and the displacement speed of the harvester. USE – For monitoring the weight of transport mats used for sugar canes. ADVANTAGE – Ensures efficient sugar-cane production and transport management of sugar canes provided in transport mats. Ensures reduced cost due to simple installation of the weight monitoring system without having to use expensive hydraulic pressure sensors. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – The system also includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit connected to the harvester to show a digital map representing the production surface of the harvested area. The system determines the weight of sugar canes in the transport mats by performing direct or indirect measurement process.
