The FOPA and AFDE are arranged in the pre-amplification stage, in which the FOPA and AFDE can be used as a unique photon device or as two independent devices connected in series. USE – For use as upgrade in receiving optical signals through optical fibers used in telecommunication systems. ADVANTAGE – Uses low power in receiving optical signals. Ensures optimum reception of high-charge optical signals, requiring little margin of security in the optical signal power.
