Planar resonant scanner with highly coupled inductive action

Planar resonant scanner with highly coupled inductive action

NOVELTY – The scanner has a planar base suspended by torsion bars (2), a suspension system and a fixture panel. A stator has a magnetic circuit made of pre-molded ferrite cores. An actuator spool having around 200 spirals, is rolled on the magnetic circuit. The magnets made of neodymium-iron-boron are embedded within the stator. USE – Planar resonant optical scanner for use in various applications. Uses include but are not limited to laser printer, optical microscope, bar code reader, image projector, etc. ADVANTAGE – The volume of scanner is reduced. Power consumption of scanner can be reduced. Batch manufacturing of scanner is enabled at low cost. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows a graph illustrating the relationship between frequency response and optical deflection angle of planar resonant scanner.

Main Application Field

A89 (Photographic, laboratory equipment, optical – including electrophotographic, thermographic uses.); P81 (Optics (G02).); T04 (Computer Peripheral Equipment); V07 (Fibre-optics and Light Control)
