NOVELTY – Layered silicates preparation involves performing reaction of a silica source with a strong base in an alcoholic medium under magnetic stirring at 10-150 degrees C, where the obtained material is calcined at 900-1000 degrees K for 3-10 hours. The obtained material is cooled rapidly at temperature lower than the room temperature. The cooled material is dried. USE – Method for preparing layered silicates (claimed), preferably sodium silicate kenyaite. ADVANTAGE – The layered silicates preparation method enables to prepare the layered silicates with improved crystallization property in short duration. The obtained product has high crystallinity and high porosity. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows micrographs of sodium silicate kenyaite.
