NOVELTY – The method involves inserting a watermark (R) in a marked vector map (M). Points (P) of the marked vector map are calculated. Q points of the vector-proof map are represented. The representations of the P and Q points are compared with each other by using a point pattern matching algorithm. Two matrices (Ax, Ay) are constructed from the P and Q points of the vector map. Other two matrices (Bx, By) are removed from the Q points. Parallel arrays are calculated from the matrices. A watermark is resized according to size of original watermark to return an extracted watermark. USE – Private method for inserting and detecting watermarks on raster vector maps. ADVANTAGE – The method ensures that vector maps are improving quality of control map by inserting raster images of the watermark. The method enables forming a water verification mark by using algorithms, so that authority and possession of raster images can be identified according to captured images. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a semi-public method for detecting watermark on vector maps. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows a flow diagram illustrating a private method for inserting and detecting watermarks on raster vector maps.
