NOVELTY – The technique is for the optimization of electrical output of electro-chemical reactors with diamond electrodes for treatment of effluents and residual waters. The reactor has t o be operated in conditions of high efficiency of current and electricity i.e. so that the reactions of oxidation of the organic compounds may be controlled by mass transport under conditions in which the density of applied current is equal to or slightly greater than the density of limit current of the system. USE – For the optimization of electrical output of electrical-chemical reactors with diamond anodes for the treatment of effluents and residual waters (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION – In this manner, the extra cost of electrical energy because of the reaction of oxygen being favored is eliminated or significantly reduced. The process uses reactors with diamond anodes capable of oxidizing organic comppounds directly with water and carbonic gas, without generation of sub-products which could possibly be toxic.
