Optic Sensor of high sensitivity for evaluation of combustible adulteration employing nets of long period

Optic Sensor of high sensitivity for evaluation of combustible adulteration employing nets of long period

NOVELTY – The system has a light source (2) located at resonance peaks of recorded spectral range networks, where the light source with wide spectrum is consistent with range of wavelength. A sensor device is formed by an optical fiber tuned recording region. Two long chains are connected in series with each other such that a thinned region is formed between networks. An optical spectrum analyzer (3) is utilized for measuring displacement spectrum. A core and a shell of a fiber forms two arms of an interferometer. USE – Optical system for measuring variations in refractive index of liquid solutions in a fiber optic network. Can also be used for a flex-fuel vehicle. ADVANTAGE – The system increases resolution of measurement in a fiber optic network, and reduces optical loss during scattering of light in the liquid. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for measuring changes in refractive index of liquid solutions. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows a schematic view of an optical system. Corrugated unit (1) Light source (2) Optical spectrum analyzer (3)
