NOVELTY – The method involves obtaining travel times of waves from images. An image of specimen is obtained. Time course of the wave of the specimen is measured based on artificial neural networks algorithm. Tension waves are obtained by using the obtained image. Data matrix of the images is calculated. Tension in an inspected component (4) is calculated by specific formula. A compound controller (1) is provided with a computer (2) and a probe (3), where the probe is made of linear sensors and connected to the controller. USE – Method for measuring tension in a metal. ADVANTAGE – The method enables increasing life service of the metal and measuring the tension in the metal in an easy manner.
