Ethanol based catalytic autothermic reforming reactor includes spontaneous fuel combustion in a simplified insulated casing, with high hydrogen concentration gas production
NOVELTY – The ethanol-based catalytic autothermic reforming reactor has spontaneous combustion promoted by an electrical of the fuel until the catalyst bed reaches its set temperature. The reactor is heat insulated internally and externally and the gas produced, of high hydrogen concentration, can be used direct in solid-oxide fuel cells to generate electricity. USE – In Chemical engineering. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – The reaction employs water, and also air or concentrated oxygen or oxidizing agent.
Main Application Field
E36 (Non-metallic elements, semi-metals (Se, Te, B, Si) and their compounds (except for E35).); J04 (Chemical/physical processes/apparatus – including catalysis, catalysts (excluding specific e.g. enzymatic or polymerisation catalysts), colloid chemistry, laboratory apparatus and methods, testing, controlling, general encapsulation, detection and sampling (excluding clinical testing) (B01J, L).)
