METHOD OF DIRECT DETERMINATION OF PARACETAMOL IN PHARMACEUTICAL SAMPLES SPRAYED BY SPECTROSCOPY OF FLUORES
NOVELTY – For a typical sample, the shunting line relative standard is estimated at 2.4 percent for 20 replicas. Exactness is evaluated and an analytical result obtained by a certain method is compared with a method recommended by the British Pharmacopeia. The observed differences between the methods are at a reliability level of 95 percent. USE – For pulverized pharmaceutical samples. ADVANTAGE – Enables rapid analysis at reduced cost. Allows on-line monitoring of production line. Non-destructive and prevents generation of residues. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – The method starts with diluting an active substance with lactose, cornstarch, talc, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and stearic acid. Maximum excitement and emission occur at 333 nm and 382 nm respectively. Fluorescent intensity is linear, with the concentration in the 100 to 500 mg per gram paracetamol. The limits of detection and quantification are 14.6 and 48.9 mg per gram respectively, and the current analytical frequency is 300 samples.
