NOVELTY – The method involves removing all parts of the sericin in the silk and dissolution of fibroin in ternary solution of calcium chloride-ethanol hydrate. The fibroin solution is diluted, which is obtained in dissolution of fibroin in ternary solution in the water. The fibroin solution is agitated for denaturation of the protein with consequent foam formation. The foam is separated and compacted for the formation of porous membranes. USE – Used for obtaining the porous membranes of silk fibroin. ADVANTAGE – The method involves agitating fibroin solution for denaturation of the protein with consequent foam formation, which is separated and compacted for the formation of porous membranes, and hence obtains membranes without incorporating the dialysis method.
