Fabrication of ceramic composites from polysilane polymers consists of reinforcement with polyacrylonitrile, cellulose and carbon fibres and the use of silicon carbide precursors
NOVELTY – The fabrication of ceramic composites from polysilane polymers comprises reinforcement with polyacrylonitrile, cellulose and carbon fibres in single and hybrid form. The impregnating matrix consists of polymers containing e.g. silicon carbide precursors. EMBODIMENT – The products have good thermo-mechanical and erosion resistance. USE – In building construction.
Main Application Field
A93 (Roads, building, construction flooring.); L02 (Refractories, ceramics, cement – includes manufacturing methods, limes, soil preparation for (road) building, magnesias and slags, cements, mortars, concretes, abrasives, thermal or acoustic insulation (non)oxide ceramics and ceramic composites, but not brick making, concrete mixers or casting or potters’ wheels (C04).)
