NOVELTY – The ultraviolet and visible region optical filter fabrication material comprises, e.g., SiO2, CaO, Al2O3, Fe2O3, Na2O, K2O, TiO2 and MgO, which form a ceramic matrix. USE – In optical filters production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION – An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is given for a process for making the filter. The process eliminates surface porosity of the matrix by using processed hospital waste plasma, with controlled cooling.
