NOVELTY – A process for application of violacein as an anti-microbiotic, uses the active agent dissolved in dimethylsulfoxide for subsequent use in aqueous solutions. USE – The process is used for the application of violacein as an anti-microbiotic, useful in the treatment of tuberculosis. ADVANTAGE – The process has uses minimal (below 128 micrograms/ml) inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations against various strains of microbacteria.
B05 (Other organics – aromatics, aliphatic, organo-metallics, compounds whose substituents vary such that they would be classified in several of B01 – B05.)
