Production of artemisinin from artemisia annua L. – consists of extraction and filtration on diatomite earth for elution

NOVELTY – The production of artemisinin from Artemisia annua L. comprises extraction of two solutions for treatment with activated carbon at ambient temperature for ca. 1.5 hours. The classical and series extraction processes then permit filtration on diatomite earth, to give a dark yellow solution. USE – Production of artemisinin for use in industrial chemistry.
