NOVELTY – Fructooligosaccharides purification involves packaging separation column with a zeolite adsorbent sodium halide, where operating temperature is controlled at 30-50 degrees C. A mixture of sugars containing fructooligosaccharide and solvent, preferably ethanol is fed into column. The enriched fraction is collected. USE – Mthod for purifying fructooligosaccharides used in food (all claimed). ADVANTAGE – The method produces the fructooligosaccharides with high purity.
