USED ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTOR IN THE TREATMENT OF WATERY EFFLUENTS I CONTEND HEAVY METALS
NOVELTY – The electrochemical treatment reactor for liquid effluent containing heavy metals has electrochemical and electrolytic cells employing e.g. reticulated vitreous carbon and metal sponge type cathodes. It removes metal ions present in the effluent, with e.g. copper, lead and zinc ions reducing from 50 to 0.1 mg/litre in 30 minutes. USE – In Chemical engineering.
Main Application Field
D15 (Chemical or biological treatment of water, industrial waste and sewage – including purification, sterilising or testing water, scale prevention, treatment of sewage sludge, regeneration of active carbon which has been used for water treatment and impregnating water with gas e.g. CO2, but excluding plant and anti-pollution devices (C02).); J03 (Electrochemical processes and electrophoresis – including ozone production, brine electrolysis, water electrolysis, production of chemical compounds and non-metallic elements, but excluding batteries or other means of producing power and the treatment of metals (C25B).); X25 (Industrial Electric Equipment)
